                            Values/Principles

First let me say there are times in life where we come a little short of the standards we set for ourselves. I have many items on my metaphorical do-over list. However, we cannot dwell on past failures, what makes us champions is how we respond to those setbacks as they occur. I have put together a list below that I strive for on a daily basis in my life, but it is not easy. Then again no one ever promised me it would be easy.

                            *Serve God First

Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 7 verse 20, "Thus you will recognize them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:20 ESV) I know my first love is God, His Son (Jesus) bought me for a price and it is my desire to live a life that reflects Christ to others. *Disclaimer* (See the above paragraph) I am not always successful, but thank God for unconditional grace.

                            *Serve My Family

Understanding that most of the issues we see today can be directly related to an unbalanced home life I realize my role as both a husband and father. I am to love my wife as Christ loves His church. I pray daily for the wisdom to balance my responsibility of both loving and disciplining my children. They are all a gift from God, a genuine blessing in which He has entrusted me with their care.

                            *Serve Humanity

Jesus said in Matthew chapter 20 verse 28, "even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28 ESV) I realize that I have been given by God a responsibility to serve where ever He sends me. I also know that Christ has given the perfect example of how to serve those in need.

                            *Learn & Grow Daily

I value the opportunity we have to learn on a daily basis which I believe is the only way we grow in knowledge. You are never too young or old to learn daily. I prayed to be a know-it-all, but that appears to be a prayer to which God said NO! My personal goal is to read 2-3 books a month, taking notes and applying to my life and the life of others any wisdom I may take from these readings.

                            *Inner Circle Mentorship

One thing that I believe is vital to our success is Inner Circle Mentorship. There are areas in my life where I struggle or I may not be educated in various subject matters. I rely heavily on the mentorship of Godly men to share their successes, while being accountable to them for all aspects of my life. I believe these life mentors can bring life changing value to you and me. If you wanted to learn how to fly an airplane would you go to the dentist or to a pilot that was willing to mentor you?

                            *Giving Back

Randy understands from personal experiences with his adoption the importance of giving back. He has served and mentored the Big Brothers/Big Sisters  foundation in multiple cities in Alabama. He still takes time to mentor or counsel as he is given the opportunity to serve. Randy understands that giving back is more than just a financial commitment, it's a life commitment.

                            *Willingness To Laugh At Himself

If you’ve heard Randy speak or read any of his articles, you know he enjoys a good laugh, even if it’s at his own expense. Every good leader needs a good sense of humor!

                            *Make Health A Priority

Randy's wife says he is the king of Monday's when it comes to health. He faithfully starts dieting on Monday, by Tuesday he is off the wagon and by Wednesday he is telling everyone his diet starts on Monday! Seriously we just got word Randy is starting his diet this Monday.
